Tea Menu

At Passiflora, our teas are served loose, rather than in tea bags. Savor the flavor. Many of our teas are organic and support sustainable agriculture. 

Black Teas 

Aids in the prevention of heart disease; Increases bone density; and Kills bacteria in the mouth that can prevent cavities. 

English Breakfast: (1H-A) Strong and simple; 100% pure China Black (Keemun). 
Organic China Breakfast: (2R-B) A thick bodied, sweet malty flavored organic tea from one of China’s premier tea gardens.
Eight at the Fort: (3H-A) A blend of 8 teas including Darjeeling and oolong, this tea has a balanced taste with notes of honey, malt, citrus and stone fruit. 
Decaffeinated Pekoe: (4H-A) Black tea with caffeine 
removed, a strong depth of flavor. 
Organic Assam: (5H-A) From the Sewpur Tea Garden 
with a sweet honey flavor. 
Organic Darjeeling 2nd Flush Muscatel: (6R-C) Known as “Second Flush.” This tea is made with the new growth tips of the tea plant a few months after the first harvest, possessing a fully ripened Muscat grape and wild flower notes. 

Flavored Black Teas 

Peaches and Ginger: (7H-A) Black tea with pieces of real ginger and peach. 
Hot Cinnamon Spice: (8H-A) A blend of black teas, three types of cinnamon, orange peel and sweet cloves; brings back memories of “fireball” candies.
Decaf Cinnamon Spice: (9H-A) Strong spicy flavors accent this black decaf tea. It is assertive and delicious.
Almond Sugar Cookie: (10SV-A) A warm, toasty cinnamon-flavor combined with the aroma of almond sugar cookies. Try this black tea as a latte! 
Paris: (11H-A) Created by Mike Harney of Harney and Sons Teas,; a fruity black tea with a hint of 
lemony Bergamot. 
Coconut/Chocolate: (12H-A) Created by Emeric Harney of Harney and Sons Teas; a beautifully delicious blend of black tea with chocolate, coconut and vanilla flavors, and amaranth petals.
Cranberry Almond: (13H-A) Fruity and nutty flacors of cranberry, almond, and vanilla.
Grey's Grapefruit Jubilee: (14H-B) A special Earl Grey blend with extra notes of bergamot and grapefruit.
Organic Earl Grey: (15H-A) Made with a higher grade of teas and flavored with oil of Bergamot, a rare citrus flavor from the Mediterranean. 
Decaffeinated Earl Grey: (16H-A) Decaffeinated Ceylon scented with oil of bergamot.
Victorian Earl Grey: (17SV-A) A step back into the past! This tea is a wonderful mixture of Rose Congou, rose petals, lavender, rosemary and Natural Bergamot oil. 
Decaf Vanilla Comoro: (18H-A) A very vanilla tea with undertones of a lighter black tea flavor.
Caribe: (20H-A) Black and green teas are blended with hibiscus, guava, coconut and strawberry and then accented with marigolds and cornflowers. 
Morgan Blend: (21SV-A) Created by J.P. Morgan and Mr. Vail. This unique blend combines Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong, and other secret ingredients. 
Seasonal Holiday Tea Blend: (22H-A) Ceylon tea spiced with citrus, almond, clove and cinnamon flavors. Only served in November and December. 

Oolong Teas

 Provides a high content of tea polysaccharides (long-chain immune-boosting sugars); Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar; Provides anti-oxidants; Strengthens tooth enamel ; Provides vitamins and minerals; Aids in slimming and weight loss 

Organic Jade Oolong: (23R-B) This is a lightly oxidized oolong tea from the mountainous region of Mantou, Taiwan. It has a smooth golden green infusion enjoyed by green tea lovers. Its flowery aroma, brisk flavor, smooth body and fruity finish make this one of our favorite oolongs. 
Organic Wuyi Oolong: (24R-B) Wuyi Qi Lan or “Profound Orchid” is unique with sweet notes of raisins, honeysuckle and roasted sugar.
Organic Coconut Oolong: (25R-B) Oolong Tea and Coconut Flavoring. 
Pomegranate Oolong: (26H-B) One of China’s most famous teas, this Oolong comes from Anxi in the Fujian province and is infused with the flavor of pomegranate.
Organic Citron Oolong: (27R-B) Organic Citron Oolong is a blend of high-grown Oolong tea, rare blossoms and succulent citrus designed to refresh and rejuvenate.
Mango Oolong: (28SV-B) A delightfully refreshing tea that brews up light and slightly sweet with mango fruitiness.
Ginger Oolong: (29H-A) The Formosa Oolong provides a subtle peach undertone with deeper flavors of added ginger.

Green Teas 

Provides anti-oxidant health benefits, because it is made from un-oxidized leaves; green tea is one of your most flavorful and inexpensive sources of cancer fighting anti-oxidants. Antiseptic and anti-viral, it kills oral bacteria that can lead to colds and flus, fights de-generative disease, and supports immune function. Green tea tastes great. Green tea does contain caffeine, although less than black tea. 

Organic Sencha: (30R-B) Sencha is produced by steaming early spring leaves before drying. Steamed teas have a higher concentration of chlorophyll, vitamins and anti-oxidants than other types of green teas.
Green Chrysanthemum: (31H-A) A delicious straightforward green tea blend of bancha and chrysanthemum flowers. Chrysanthemum flowers are commonly used to treat eye issues in traditional Chinese medicine. This green tea brews to a nice straightforward flavored cup.
Hojicha: (32H-A) Roasted tea stalks are a favorite beverage in Japan. This tea has an interesting nutty, smoky taste, and smells a bit like wood.
Decaf Sencha: (33R-B) Sencha Green tea with caffeine removed.
Sweet Matcha: (34a, 34bR-C) Matcha is the powdered green tea used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Contains added benefits due to consumption of the whole tea leaf. We can prepare our matcha (hot or cold), with 1% organic milk, soy milk, almond milk or coconut milk. Water can also be used. Note $5.75/cup 

Flavored Green Teas 

Organic Vanilla Mint Pu-erh Tea: (35R-B) A deep red-dish-black infusion, highlighting the bold taste of Pu-erh with cool peppermint, hand-chopped vanilla beans and fresh ground cinnamon. It also contains the sweet accents of espresso or cacao.
Tropical Green: (37H-A) Green tea with pineapple flavor.
Organic Green with Citrus & Gingko: (38H-A) A perfect “starter” green tea; from Southern India. 
Bangkok: (39H-A) Bancha with coconut, lemongrass and ginger.
Caramel Sesame: (40H-A) A delightful light bodied tea with subtle flavors of sesame seed and caramel.  
Cherry Blossom: (41H-A) A blend of green teas and the vibrant flavor of plump, fragrant cherries. An awakening of the senses!
Raspberry Green: (42R-B) Organic green tea, organic raspberry, organic Fair Trade Certifiedhibiscus and natural raspberry flavor. 
Organic Orange Blossom: (43R-B) A flowery blend of select green tea, rare blossoms (jasmine, roses and osmanthus), and aromatic lemon myrtle leaves and lemongrass. 
Genmaicha: (44R-B) Lemony green tea Bancha leaves are blended with rice kernals to create this light-bodied roasted tea.
Chinese Flower: (45H-A) A blend of green tea, orange peel, and a variety of flower petals make this a complex flavored green.
Moroccan Mint: (46H-A) An uplifting and brisk cup of minty green tea.


Organic Jasmine Green: (47R-B) Organic green tea blended with fresh jasmine blossoms. Jasmine tea is said to ease nervous tension, break down saturated fat, reduce cholesterol and increase circulation. Need we say more! 
Organic Jasmine Pearl: (48R-C) The most tender green tea leaves and buds are hand rolled into small pearls and infused with the essence of fresh jasmine blossoms, which the tea absorbs through a scenting process dating back more than nine centuries. 
Rose Kissed Jasmine: (50SV-A) Enjoy the light floral bouquet of this spectacular combination of jasmine and rose petals. 

White Tea 

White Tea is a Chinese specialty, pale and delicately fragrant. High in cancer fighting anti-oxidants, anti-aging, cooling and detoxifying; it has the lowest con-tent of caffeine found in tea. It is also high in L-theanine, the amino acid, which promotes longevity and concentration. 
Organic Silver Needle: (51R-C) Silver Needle, known as “Bai Hao Yin Zhen,” is the most sought after white tea in China. It is harvested only for a few days each year in early spring north of the Min River in Fujian, China. These white tea bush varietals have been cherished for years for their medicinal properties 
Organic White Peony: (52R-A) White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) is one of the classic, gentle white teas from the Fujian province of China, often consumed during and after the meal in China. With less caffeine than green tea due to its unique processing and season of harvest, it has a unique herbaceous aroma similar to steamed bamboo and toasted nuts. Overall, it is mild in flavor and low in astringency. 
Organic Peach White: (53R-B) This delicate sweet infusion is prepared by combining flower scented white teas with the natural essence of succulent peaches, jasmine and osthmanthus. A hint of orange and tangerine essential oils is also added. 
Wedding Blend: (54H-A) A tea for marriage. This tea is a combination of Mutan White Tea, a touch of lemon-vanilla flavor and pink rose buds and petals. 
White Vanilla Grapefruit: (55H-A) White tea with vanilla and grapefruit ...light and smooth with citrus tones.  

Rooibos (Red Bush) Teas

Native to the mountains of South Africa, Rooibos teas are naturally caffeine-free, low in tannins (never bitter), and high in anti-oxidents. Rooibos is also known as Red Bush and has a deep and dark red infusion with a full body and sweet finishing flavor. It tastes great hot or iced. 

Organic Rooibos: (56R-A) Naturally sweet and refreshing pure African rooibos with a deep red, nectar-like infusion.
Rooibos Blueberry: (57R-B) Rooibos tea and real, wild blueberries. Tart, juicy and naturally sweet. 
Cederberg Harvest Green Rooibos: (59SV-A) A green rooibos blend with a strong fruity taste. Includes blueberries, papaya, orange, hibiscus, raspberries, and blossoms of mallow and marigold for a taste of the tropics.
Vanilla Rose: (60SV-A) A delightful blend of rooibos with sweet vanilla, floral rose, and lavender.
Vanilla Thrilla: (61SV-A) This is a sumptuous blend of organic rooibos, vanilla extract and vanilla pieces.
Coconut Cookie Green Rooibos: (62SV-A)With a heavenly toasted coconut aroma, this tea is a real treat and offers the perfect smooth and creamy coconut flavor.
Rooibos Orange Spice: (63SV-A) Orange Spice flavored Rooibos with orange peel. 
Organic Ginger Lime Rooibos: (64R-A) This tea has zesty citrus notes of Western Indian lime and ginger. 


The spices in chai teas can be beneficial to sluggish digestion. Can be served hot or cold. Try as a latte with some added honey: Delicious!

Organic Rishi Masala Chai: (65R-B) This formula is based on traditional South Indian blending methods for Masala Chai. 
Organic Rooibos West Cape Chai: (66R-B) A Caffeine-free herbal blend of chai spices and 100% organic Rooibos. 
Indian Spice: (67H-A) Assam combined with cardamom & spices.
Chai Hara: (68H-B) A well-balanced green chai that is a delicious option for those who prefer a chai without milk. It contains all the usual spices of cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, coriander, and ginger with a delightfully smooth taste.
Chocolate Mate Chai: (69R-B) Organic Fair Trade Certified™ pu-erh tea, roasted dandelion root, cardamom, yerba matè, cocoa shells, cacao nibs, long pepper, coconut flakes and vanilla bean.
Tulsi Herbal Chai Blend: (70P-B) Blended in-house! Enjoy the benefits of tulsi combined with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper with rose petals.

Yerba Matè and Guayusa

Matè is a tea-like beverage originally consumed in South America to boost health by fortifying the immune system, energizing the body, cleansing and detoxifying the blood, toning the nervous system, retarding aging, combating fatigue, stimulating mental alertness, controlling the appetite, reducing the effects of debilitation disease, reducing stress and eliminating insomnia. This healthful beverage can be consumed as a substitute for coffee and caffeinated teas. Guayusa is a traditional tea of Ecuador with less caffeine than coffee but more than mate`. This herb is great because it contains the amino acid L-theanine that imparts an overall feeling of tranquility which balances out the caffeine for a gentle, smooth stimulating effect full of antioxidants. 

Yerba Maté: (71SV-A) Pure, unflavored Maté is earthy and slightly bitter in flavor.
Mate` Lemongrass: (72R-B) Mate` Flavored with lemongrass and lemon myrtle, offering a zesty citrus flavor.
Guayusa: (74MR-A) This tea has a slightly sweet herbaceous flavor, somewhat reminiscent of winter squash.

Caffeine-Free Fruit & Herbal Teas 

Delicious caffeine-Free beverages to suit everyone’s taste 
Currant Explosion: (75SV-B) This flavored tisane explodes on your taste buds! The exceptional blend of black currants, blackberry leaf, rosehips and raspberries with currant flavoring is a huge hit with young and old alike.
Peach Fruit: (76H-A) Dried fruit pieces, including peaches are artfully blended with peach flavors to produce a beautiful ruby red drink that is loaded with peach flavor, but no caffeine. As beautiful to look at as it is to drink. 
Mango Fruit: (77H-A) Dried fruit pieces, including mangoes are artfully blended with mango flavors to produce a beautiful ruby red drink that is loaded with mango flavor, but no caffeine.  
Strawberry Kiwi Fruit: (78T-A) This blend is very sweet, very smooth and delicious. It contains rosehips, orange peel, apple peel, hibiscus, and strawberry-kiwi flavor. Kids and adults will love this blend hot or iced! 
Linden: (79H-A) From the village of Carpentras in Provence, France; beautiful with dried flowers and small, tender leaves that produce a light woodsy brew.
Organic Passion Plum with Ginseng: (80H-A) Very finely cut pieces of organic hibiscus, cinnamon, rosehips, orange peel, ginger, and passion fruit with the added benefit of ginseng.
Raspberry: (81H-A) The best you have ever tasted; combines rosehips, hibiscus, raspberry leaves, and raspberry flavor.
French Super-Blue Lavender: (82H-A) So relaxing! a beautiful dark-blue colored and intense floral flavor. 
Egyptian Chamomile: (83H-A) Only from the flower heads; calming. 
Turmeric Ginger: (84R-B) Organic ginger, organic orange peel, organic licorice root, organic lemongrass, organic turmeric, and essential oil of lemon. Naturally anti-inflamatory & warming. 
Peppermint: (85H-A) A very classic peppermint tea. Very healing for the stomach. Refreshing!
Chamomile Bouquet: (86H-A) A subtle, calming tea with roses, cornflowers, orange peel, and of course, chamomile.
Nettle Leaf: The green tonic herb is rich in iron, calcium, and other trace minerals and vitamins. Great for hair, metabolism, and relieving seasonal allergy symptoms.  
Ginger Root Tea: A stimulating beverage to warm you! Increases digestive fire (drink prior to your meal), also useful for mild nausea, morning sickness, and first signs of a cold or flu.
